About Cindy Duchin

Cindy writes songs from the heart, weaving together a tapestry of stories about family, folklore, heartbreak and adventure.

A friend once said, “When Cindy sings she shines.”

Singing and playing my music for others is one of the great joys in my life. Music can transport us to places we can only dream of. Feelings and emotions surface when we hear songs of love, loss, joy, and sorrow. Music sets us in motion. We can be silly or serious. The possibilities are endless.

Rick Carey writes: “I’ve been listening to your new CD and loving it! Some particular favorites are “The Old John Deere”, such a delicious turnaround to the old Dear-John trope in it’s word play and commitment to loyalty; a really sweet harmony vocal on the title song which sounds like you double tracking the vocal; the inverted melody lines on “Nuthatch” that so perfectly suggest the upside-downside postures of a nuthatch on a tree trunk; and how “Jacob Henry” invests the terrors of real life with the gravity of folklore. I could go on and on. It really is a nice piece of work, Cindy, and it plays on a January morning like a breath of summertime.”

I am very excited to share with you a sample from the Title Track of my newly released album, “Dream Catcher’s Hand”
